My name is Jodie Forbes, I'm 16 years old, and am the very lucky owner of two beautiful and incredible Border Terriers; Hazel and Bramble.
I was given Hazel as a present when I was 9 years old, after begging for a dog for years! We went to our first dog show when she was a year old, it was only a fun dog show, but we won 'best child handler' along with a couple of other classes so we were hooked!
My parents had owned dogs as pets when they were younger, but had never trained or showed them, and most of them were non-pedigrees. They thought that taking me to a dog show would be fun and would help me bond with young Hazel, I doubt that they would have ever thought that, 7 years later, we would have won hundreds of rosettes, competed at the world's most prestigious dog show,Crufts, and appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers!
So where does Bramble come into the picture? In August 2010 Hazel became pregnant, and gave birth to 6 gorgeous puppies on the 12th September 2010. Bramble was the first puppy, and the largest, and we fell in love with her immediately, so she became the newest member of the family!
Now 2 years old, Bramble has competed in Agility, Heelwork to Music and Championship Shows and knows hundreds of commands, as does her mother, Hazel.
And that's pretty much our story, minus the details, up until now!
